1:10th touring cars is a very popular class of RC racing, forming the basis of the club we race this class every Thursday night. Electric motors are clean and relatively quiet making them ideal for indoor racing, perfect during the winter months. There are many different manufacturers who offer models suitable for racing in this including Tamiya, Hot Bodies, Serpent, Xray, Associated, and Corally. All touring cars will consist of a four wheel drive transmission, driven by a 540 sized electric motor. It is becoming increasingly popular for people to run brushless motor's which produce great levels of power and require minimal maintenance. Maritime racing also permit the use of LIPO battery's which have become increasingly popular.
